Earlier this week rumors of a supposed 'Frozen' makeover coming to Norway Pavilion at Epcot started circulating in the theme park community. And on Friday last week Thomas Staggs, Chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, confirmed that the Norway Pavilion will be undergoing a 'Frozen’ makeover.
Even though their is not much information yet on what exactly is happening we do have some confirmed information that was given to us by Staggs. So the two main actions will be a Frozen attractions that will be taking over the current space Maelstrom is occupying, guests will be immersed into the story of Frozen and will travel to the city of Arendelle. As well a new meet and great that will house a meet and great with Anna and Elsa.
The Norwegian Pavilion will stay opened the whole time, and Maelstrom will be closing October 5, 2014. The Frozen attraction will open sometime in 2016. Stay tune to find out more information about the 'Frozen Makeover’.
