Quite a bit has happened at Magic Kingdom in the past few week, nothing major because they did not want to close up more of the park for the 4th but know that the 4th of July is over things should be in full swing. Most of the stuff happening are refurbishment dates released, discontinued services, closers, thing being moved around and etc.
First of lets talk about refurbishments and closers. Yankee Trader is know closed and will be reimagined into a Haunted Mansion gift shop. The gift shop will offer on-ride photo pickup location and some Haunted Mansion merchandise. The refurbishment will be completed by around September 30, 2014. The on-ride photo opportunity is speculated to be in the hitch-hiking ghosts scene.
Cinderella’s Royal Table will be closing for refurbishment on Jan. 5, 2015 and it will reopen on March 7, 2015. If you still want to have a princess dinner you can book a spot at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall at the Norway pavilion at Epcot.
I mention something about "discontinued services” in my introduction paragraph and you are all probably wondering what is discontinued. So Disney will be discontinuing their PhotoPass print and table site sales packages. They will be closing them in phases, phase 1 will include the following restaurants: Chef Mickey, 1900 Park Fare, ‘Ohana, Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, Disney Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show and Tusker House Restaurant. Phase 1 will take place on July 27, 2014. Phase 2 will include Cinderella’s Royal Table and Akershus Royal Banquet Hall. And it will be fully discounted by January 5, 2015. You will be able to view your photos take by Disney Photo Pass Photographers on your My Disney Experience app or website.
So that’s it for know I will be coming out with another Magic Kingdom post that will catch you up even further. Please look forward to it.
