WDW - Holiday Info_Magic Kingdom

     Magic Kingdom’s a buzz with preparations for the Holiday Season. Wreaths, Christmas trees, snow men, gingerbread men and more are popping up all around the park. Sweet and worm, the smell of freshly baked Christmas good’s fill the park air. The festive spirit can be felt though the park!

    The first signs of Christmas can be seen on Main Street as the stores and restaurants are adorn in their holiday apparel. Do to the much taller Festival of Fantasy Parade floats the normal over hanging decor has been replaced by wall mounted wreaths. Ten large wreaths hang from fancy white arms protruding out form the sides of the buildings. Here are some pictures of the new wreaths.

     Elsa, Anna, Kristoff and Olaf have come to Magic Kingdom together to celebrate the magic of the holidays with us. And of course Elsa could not help but use her ice magic to transform Cinderella’s Castle into a icy palace. It’s a reworked version of the ‘Cinderella’s Holiday Wish’ light show. This time as well as using the 200,000 led lights they are also using the projection mapping system that was install for Celebrate the Magic. 

     The show take place at 6:15pm and 7:15pm on normal nights and 6:15pm and 8pm on Mickey’s Very Marry Christmas Party nights. The show lasts for about nine minutes and it will run from November 5th to December 31, 2014. Here are some pictures and videos.

    Michey’s Very Marry Christmas Party will take place on the following dates: November 21 & 30, December 2, 4, 5, 7, 9, 11, 12, 14, 16, 18, & 19. 

    ABC Christmas Day Parade - ‘Disney Parks Frozen Christmas Celebration’ will take place on December 8th and 9th at 2014. This year’s parade will be quite a bitt different form the parades form the previous years. It will air on ABC December 25, 2014. Here is a link to the entertainment line up.

     The Magic Kingdom resorts are also getting in on the festive spirit. The Gingerbread House at the Ground Floridian resort officially opened on November 21st. Here are some pictures of The Gingerbread House.

    As well a Frozen inspired Gingerbread display opens at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. It is a 17ft tall castle inspired by Arendelle Castle from the movie and with a hint of 'it’s a small world’ for the extra touch. 

    The entire display is was mad at the resort and is comprised of 514 lb of flour, 212 eggs and 311 lb of honey, and making over 1500 singles. Their are also 15 hidden Olaf's in the display. Here are some pictures.
