WDW - Disney’s Polynesian Resort Update - 21/05/14

     Quite a bit has happened at Disney’s Polynesian Resort including some temporary closure(main pool area and more), refurbishments(including Never Land Club), and some concept art that has been released. 

    Lets start with expansions and additions that are coming to the resort. ‘Pineapple Lenai’ food and beverage kiosk will be opening by the end of this year! It will be offering tropical treats including the Dole Whip. As well The Nanea Volcano pool area and Barefoot Pool Bar will be closing July 26, 2014 though to May 23, 2015. It will be receiving some refurbishment work as well it will also will be expanding. Some of those expansions includes a new aquatic playground for kids, a hot tub that will fit 12 and a new deck all of this is happening to hold the extra guest do to the upending up of the new DVC villas. In an interview this week Tom Wolber (senior vice president of resort operations and transportation operations for Walt Disney World Resort) said: “In size and scope the renovation and expansion of Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is a significant investment in the guest experience at Walt Disney World Resort... Once completed, the iconic resort hotel will be completely re-imagined with a level of detail as only Disney can deliver.”
    
    Know don’t get worried if you are planning to be staying at the Polynesian while this expansion is happening the resort quiet pool is still opened and for those guests how are effected by the close of the main pool will get complementary one day passes to Blizzard Beach. As well all of the date are subject to change as usual.

    The children’s club formally known as ‘Never Land Club’ will allows children to take part in crafts, dress-up and story time. It closed in early January 2014 to begin its refurbishment. Reservations can be made for July 17, 2014 and own. To make recreations just call 407-WDW-DINE.
