WDW - Disney Springs Update - 20/04/14

    Quite a bit has happened since the last time  I talked about Downtown Disney, bolt Starbucks locations are nearing completions and Buena Vista Drive Expansion has begun!

    Let’s first take a look at the two Starbucks locations. The next mile stone in the constructions of the West Side Starbucks locations has been reached this week! They have finally begin construction on the interior of the cafe! There is still quite a hefty load of work to be done on the exterior of the building but the general shape and walls have been completed. Here are some picture that WDWMagic took of the construction site this week. Moving over to Market Place we can see their Starbucks locations is nearing completion! Beside some scaffolding and some paint work the exterior of the building looks almost finished! Here are some pictures of what it looks like. Bolt Starbucks locations are scheduled to open sometime summer 2014.

    If you read my last post about Disney Springs I mentions that Buena Vista Drive will be expanded but just incase you have not I will recap. Over the past number of years and especially in recent times Buena Vista Drive has been getting more and more congested and with the opening of Disney Springs in the next few years traffic is only expected get thicker. So they will be expanding Buena Vista Drive to 10 lanes, an additional bus root and two pedestrian bridges. Work has begun this week: they have cleared the area for construction and know they are adding drainage systems.
