Hey everyone, lets check in with Magic Kingdom and see how things are in and around the park.
As the new MyMagic+ system is launching into action guests are using their mobile devices more and more. Why? Well in order to customized your vacation you need to access My Disney Experience and so guests are using their phones more often know so either customize their vacation or to remind themselves of their reservation. So in order to insure that the guests are always charged up Disney is starting to install more charging stations.
Disney has had charging stations for many years know but the big problem with them is you cannot leave your phone unintended. Well Disney realized that so they have come up with the next gen. charging station.
So what do the new charging station look like? Their are a series of charging lockers pilled one on top of each other, at the top their is a touch screen and a card swipe device. To begin you just swipe your credit card in the card reader, the service is free but they use your credit card as essentially a key to your lockers. Once you swipe your card they will ask you what kind of connection your phone has: a Apple Lightning, Apple 30pin or general USB. Once you select your device connection a door will open up and will appear green. Once you connect your device it will turn red and will stay red until your device is charged. After you connect it and close the door it will automatic lock. When you want your fine back just swipe you card and the door with your phone will open up.
They have started testing this system in Tomorrowland this is a 6 chamber charging station at Space Mountain and a 12 chamber charging station at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe. For some picture check out these picture WDWMagic took.
As well Quick Service prices have gone up; a regular fountain drink know cost $2.99, 30cents more then the preview price of $2.69. The large fountain drink remains the exact same: $3.19. As we most of the quick service food dishes have risen the normal 10 to 20 cents.
As well the second lauding dock at the Trans and Ticket Center looks to be completed but is still no operating as of yet.
