Disney has official begin construction on their newest cutting edge laundry facility. It was celebrate by a special ceremony, which feature some of the Walt Disney World directors. The ceremony took place on March 27, 2014 and it will mark the beginning of a project that will probably last a year and a half or more.
"The new facility will showcase some of the textile industry’s most cutting-edge features including conveyors and air suction tubes that quickly move linens and machines that automatically sort, separate and fold," said J.R. Garcia, director of textile services at Walt Disney World Resort.
The new locations will be between ESPN Wide Word of Sports and Disney’s Art of Animation Resort and this new facilities, when completed in 2015, will bring 200 new jobs. This new laundry facilities will be a jobbing the current 2 other laundry locations at the Walt Disney World Resort.
